Near Future Education Teacher Course

A 1 Week ERASMUS+ Teacher Training Course available in Florence and Dublin, in collaboration with Nefula

“To believe that change is driven by technology, when technology is driven by humans, renders force and power invisible.” Jill Lepore

The course has been created for School Managers and Innovative Teachers who want to have an active role in the evolution of the educational systems. Innovations, new technologies, new skill agendas are changing the way of teaching and learning and it is not easy today to manage all these in schools.

During the course participants will know examples from current innovative practices in teaching and they will reflect on the future of education and its implication. The idea of future as an unit will be questioned, in favour of the concept of future as a multiple objects, that anyone can influence with her/his present choices. Through hands-on activities everyone will learn how to find out her/his own way to deal with innovation and to be able to think at futures keeping an open mind.

By the end of the course, each participant will design a new educational practice based on the observation of the present evolutions. A collection of existing innovative activities worldwide will be shared with the participants. They will also explore cross-media communication strategies to create open discussions about the futures of education. The course will evidence the power of discussion as a space where desires emerge and preferable future would arise.

Guided city tours and a one-day excursion will also be part of the programme.
